This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how MyCareerTech, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company (“MyCareerTech,” “us,” “our,” and “we”) uses your information and applies to all who use our Web site – www.MyCareerTech.com, mobile applications, electronic services, social networking sites, interactive features, online services, or any of our described online activities we own or control (collectively, the “Site”). This Privacy Policy is incorporated in our Terms of Use, which also apply when you use our Site.
By using the Site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described in this Privacy Policy, please do not provide us with your personal information or interact with the Site.

We will collect Teacher Information, including Personal Information and Non-Identifying Information, when you interact with us and the Site, for example when you:
- access or use the Site;
- register, subscribe, or log in to MyCareerTech;
- open or respond to our emails;
- contact customer service or use other customer support tools;
- visit any page online that displays our content;
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the collection of information in any way other than as listed above.
We may collect Personal Information from other users, including parents of students, when submitting inquiries through our online Contact Us form feature.
MyCareerTech will only collect student names and email addresses (optional) upon completing each curriculum's test online as distributed by their instructor.
- Your Choices
We think that you benefit from a more personalized experience when we know more about you and what you like. However, you can limit the information you provide to MyCareerTech, and you can limit the communications that MyCareerTech sends to you.
- Promotional Emails
You may choose not to receive emails from us by following the instructions contained in any of the promotional emails we send. Please note that even if you unsubscribe from promotional email messages, we may still email you non-promotional emails related to your transactions on the Site.
- Cookies and Tracking
You may manage how your browser handles Cookies by adjusting its privacy and security settings. MyCareerTech will only collect Student Information explicitly for the following purposes:
- To provide teachers with the student’s curriculum test scores through their online grade book
- To generate a personalized certificate of completion for each student successfully completing an online curriculum
We do not share student identifying information with any Sponsors or other third-party.
We (or our Vendors on our behalf), may otherwise use teacher information collected as described in this Privacy Policy to:
- Operate, maintain and improve the Site and our services, and Other Programs;
- Answer your questions and respond to your requests;
- Perform analytics and conduct user research;
- Manage our everyday business needs, such as administration of the Site, analytics, fraud prevention, and enforcement of our corporate reporting obligations and Terms of Use, or to comply with the requirements of applicable law;
- We also may use information collected as described in this Privacy Policy with your consent or as otherwise required or permitted by applicable law.
- Evaluate your eligibility for certain types of offers or services that may be of interest to you;

- with a purchaser of MyCareerTech or any of the MyCareerTech Affiliates (or their assets);

We may disclose Non-Identifiable Information with Sponsors for their own analysis and research; Non-Identifiable Information is data that is not specific or identifiable to any student, including, without limitation, a summary of the number of students participating in courses.
- How MyCareerTech Collects Information
MyCareerTech will only collect student names and email addresses (optional) upon completing each curriculum's test online as distributed by their teacher.
Teachers or other users may provide us with their Personal Information when they register, subscribe, create an account, or otherwise when they provide us with their Personal Information during their interaction with the Site and Other Programs.
We also collect Personal Information from users, including parents, when using our “Contact Us” feature online for customer service or other support using self-help tools, such as email.
We also receive teacher Personal Information and other online and offline information from Other Sources. MyCareerTech will use such information in accordance with all applicable laws. Such information, when combined with Personal Information collected as provided in this Privacy Policy, will also be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We use Cookies that allow us to connect your Site activity with other information we store about you in your profile or as related to your interactions with the Site. Device Data may be collected when your device interacts with the Site and MyCareerTech, even if you are not logged into the Site using your device. - Glossary of Terms
Affiliate means an entity owned, directly or indirectly, by MyCareerTech, LLC or that is controlled by or under common control with MyCareerTech, LLC, and also includes joint ventures entered into by MyCareerTech, LLC and/or its Affiliates.
Cookie means a unique identifier, usually made up of small bits of text or code. For more information, please read our Cookies Policy.
Device Data means information concerning a device you use to access, use, or interact with the Site, such as operating system type or mobile device model, browser type, domain, and other system settings, the language your system uses and the country and time zone of your device, geo-location, unique device identifier or other device identifier, mobile phone carrier identification, and device software platform and firmware information.

Personal Information means information about you that specifically identifies you or, when combined with other information we have, can be used to identify you. This includes the following types of information:
Student Information: name, email address
Teacher Information: name, email address(es), telephone number(s), or school address(es) at which you can receive communications.
Relationship Information: information you provide that enables us to determine potential interests and activities, including location information related to your state/province, city, or neighborhood, based on the location of your school.
Pixel Tags and Web Beacons means tiny graphic images placed on website pages or in our emails that allow us to determine whether you have performed specific actions.
Sponsors means, collectively, third parties with whom we conduct business to offer MyCareerTech to schools as a free service, such as co-marketers.
Third-Party Ad-Servers means Vendors and other third parties that provide the technology to place ads on websites and track ad performance.
Vendors means, collectively, third parties that perform business operations on behalf of MyCareerTech, such as transaction processing, billing, mailing, communications services (e-mail, direct mail, etc.), marketing, data processing and analytics, servicing, collections, and ad management.
- Student Data Privacy Agreements
MyCareerTech is a party to student data privacy agreements with school districts and other local education agencies (each a "DPA") in order to ensure the protection of personally identifiable student information and other regulated data in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws. In the event of any conflict between this Privacy Policy, including the Cookie Policy, and any applicable DPA, the terms of such DPA shall control and take precedence.
